Answers

Currently, Kinesis chooses to build frames of Aluminum or Carbon bonded(excluding full carbon frame). We don’t build frames of Steel or Cr-Mo.

Likewise, Kinesis produces forks of Aluminum and Carbon, which are the only materials we use for forks.

For most frames (excluding suspension frames) under the condition of the surface raw finished, the leadtime is 70 days; if painting is demanded, it will be 80 days. Concerning forks under the condition of the surface raw finished, the leadtime is 50 days, when painting is necessary, the leadtime goes to 55 days. When it comes to suspension frames, the leadtime is 120 days with the surface raw finished.

The Tensile strength is shown in the chart below.

The Tensile strength chart also indicates the strength and durability of frames; that is, frames of Kinesium own the best durability and strength. Kinesium is our patent material, and we are honored to present such a high-quality frame for you.

Hydroforming is an industrial technique wherein special liquids are injected into the frame tubes with tremendous pressure. Lines and curves are formed on the tubes following the pattern on the mold. The advantages of this technique are as below:
First, you can get tubes to your highly aesthetic standard, and at the same time you don't need gussets on such tubes for the strength concern. Thus it is amazing that you don't have to pay for the cost of adding extra weight for this extra special design, isn't it surprising?
Moreover, such technique can be applied to any part of a bicycle frame and to 6000 and 7000 series alloy tubes. The limits of bike designation is in this way widely broadened.
We are proud to say that Kinesis is absolutely the pioneer to put hydroforming technology into mass bicycle frame production and the most experienced and well-skilled frame factory in such technique. Why go for an ordinary frame, when you can have a work of art?
